Training!

Here you can access the CARA reccomeded training schedule for both the half and full marathon!

Some personal hints for training and getting started:

* Shoes are key, make sure you have good running shoes: Soon to come, a post on our partners Fleet Feet and sales they have coming up, and getting the running shoe that works best for you.

* Getting up at 5:30 to run an ubsurbd amount of time or distance rain or shine, may sound like a daunting task, but really is a fantastic way to start the day! and you'll regret more not getting up to do it, than finishing the run!

* Now that its early in the season, you have time to set reasonable goals for yourself for bigger races like the half or full marathon. Try a fun run like the Soldier Field 10 miler: http://www.soldierfield10.com/ the pace you run for this 10miler, should be about where you should be training for the longer races!

* This will be a place to add personal running tips and different suggestions, especially as race day comes closer, so please post anything you would like to add!!!
