The Soldier Field 10-miler is just around the corner, with about a month to go!

We're very excited about this event! ACS is the primary beneficiary and we have lots of participants!

The 7th annual 10 Mile Race starts on the east lawn of Soldier Field, runs south and returns to Soldier Field with a spectacular finish on the 50-yard line in the center of the field. Friends and family can watch you cross the finish line on the Jumbotron from inside the stadium.
Not up for the 10 Mile Run? Take part in the 2 Mile Walk, which takes place on the grounds surrounding Soldier Field, passing through the stadium colonnades.
The Kids Blitz gives children (ages 5 -12) a chance to run on the field creating childhood memories that last a lifetime.
Registration for the 10 Mile Race and Kids Blitz have reached capacity and is closed.

Shamrock Shuffle!

So the Shamrock Shuffle was a great success, just wanted to give a recap:

We had 53 runners for the Shamrock Shuffle this year and have raised over $22,000! We raised $13000 with 35 runners last year. We had about 10 committee members volunteer at the race tent on Sunday and had 80 ACS volunteers help with the start corrals-

Fun-Runs!

So far we have had two successful fun-runs and just wanted to update everybody on the runs and encourage runners to join us for the next one!

We have had two fun runs. Both have had about 10 runners. We usually meet the 2nd Tuesday of every month at Duffy's, go for a quick run (3-4 miles), and then go back to the bar to share a bucket of beers ($5.00) and some tacos ($1)! We have runners of every level and speed from 8 minute miles to just a bit above walking. Come out for a fun run, ask questions regarding training, fundraising and eating healthy. but most of all, to socialize with other ACS Determination Runners.

The next run will be Tuesday, May 18th (third Tuesday in May)- due to the ACS Kickoff event at Schuba's on May 12th! Meet us at Duffy's at 6:45!
